Social Media Strategy

Social Media Strategy

Today, the incorporation of Social Media within a business is seen much more as a commonality. While the incorporation of Social Media can have its benefits, some can argue if it is even necessary. Four Paws Bed Bug Detection could utilize the option of social media but would it even be necessary? There are many things that can come from the incorporation of social media, both good and bad. Here are some strengths and weaknesses regarding the utilization of social media for Four Paws.

Strengths

• Could help spread the word about their services

• Referrals with text imbedded links

• Facebook page could act as a supplement to their website

• Linking with other businesses (like Varmnit Guard) allowing them to post links to 4 Paws from their clients

• Twitter sites could post facts and create trends, possibly spreading the word on the seriousness of bedbugs and the necessity for their business

Weaknesses

• Could compromise the customers privacy

• While social media can reach many potential customers, their region (Ohio and surrounding areas) limits them to a small audience

• Bed bugs is not really a social media kind of topic, does not have momentum

That being said, the incorporation of social media is still a practice adopted by most businesses big or small. Having links to a few social media sites can make a business more credible by showing that they’re keen to the internet and not lagging in the past. If Four Paws wants to be successful when incorporating social media within their website model, they need to stay up to date. Staying up to date is important but if you don’t have any relevant information and post too frequently, your social media outlet could be seen as annoying and could be disregarded.
